It’s been a busy month for governance in Wales, with Welsh Government (in the form of the Head of Public Appointments, Hazel Page) putting on a fab co-creation event with the aim of improving the public appointments system. Read all about it here.
Christmas break
I will not be posting blog posts over the Christmas break, but rest assured, any Board positions brought to my attention will be put on the website – please check back to see what opportunities are available, it’s surprising how many were listed over Christmas last year!
I hope you have a good break and are able to spend a bit less time thinking about governance and substantially more about friends and family!
Forthcoming improvements?
I intend to publish a database of ‘historic’ (since April 2025) Board opportunities in Wales I’ve been collating since earlier this year to help people see what’s been posted, the organisations that have been looking for Board members, whether the positions are paid etc. Of course it is limited to the information I can gather, but hopefully it will be of use to somebody! Aiming to publish in January.
