Opportunities
Some big opportunities available this month, including the Chair of Natural Resources Wales, and positions on the Board of Cardiff and Vale UHB and Audit Wales. But don’t forget the brilliant (usually unpaid) other opportunities too – plenty available in sports and arts, and there are open-ended opportunities with five organisations at the moment.
By taking an unpaid role you will be upskilling, building your network, and most importantly playing an important role in making Wales better!

This month I wrote about the Audit Wales event in Cardiff, an event that was brilliant for the content, but that seemed to miss the target on another important aspect 🤔.

Events and training
I have added another section to the front page of the website in order to help signpost people to some brilliant programmes and events. Audit Wales has a session on good practice in governance, and there are two training programmes specifically aimed at supporting people from less well represented demographics into Board positions.

If you’re curious about how many people are using the website, don’t guess, just click on the link at the bottom of the page. You can wonder, like me, why the Netherlands is the third-most popular origin of visitors 🇳🇱
There are more than 140 subscribers to the newsletter, and the LinkedIn page has more than 400 followers. Even plucky little Mastodon 🦣 has 35 followers!!
